What's This Course About

QuickBooks Fundamentals gives you hands-on training in QuickBooks Online, one of the most widely used cloud accounting systems for small and medium-sized businesses. You will learn how to set up a company file, record day-to-day transactions, manage Goods and Services Tax and produce the financial reports business owners and accountants rely on. The course is designed for SME owners, administrative and accounts staff, and anyone new to QuickBooks who wants to keep accurate books with confidence.

You will start with an introduction to QuickBooks Online Plus, covering the dashboard, navigation, company settings, chart of accounts and how to configure products and services. Next you will input data into QuickBooks, creating customers and suppliers, issuing quotes and invoices, receiving payments, entering bills and expenses, and recording bank transactions. You will also learn how to connect bank feeds, categorise transactions and complete a bank reconciliation so your records always match your statements.

The course then covers managing Goods and Services Tax in QuickBooks, including setting up tax codes, applying GST correctly to sales and purchases and preparing GST reports for filing. The final topic focuses on financial and accounting reports, such as the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, aged receivables and payables and sales reports, and how to customise them. By the end, you will be able to manage your business accounts in QuickBooks Online accurately and efficiently.
