ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Internal Auditor Course equips you with the knowledge and skills to plan, conduct, report and follow up internal audits of a quality management system against the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Internal audits are a requirement of ISO 9001 and one of the most effective tools for verifying that processes work as intended and for driving improvement. The course is designed for quality professionals, managers, supervisors and staff who are, or will be, members of an internal audit team.

You will start with an introduction to audit activities and compliance, reviewing the structure and key requirements of ISO 9001:2015, audit principles from ISO 19011, types of audit and the roles and responsibilities of internal auditors. You will learn how to plan an audit programme, prepare audit checklists and conduct opening meetings. Next you will cover the analysis and interpretation of audit results, gathering objective evidence through interviews, observation and records, and classifying findings as conformities, nonconformities or opportunities for improvement.

The course then covers risk mitigation and improvement measures, writing clear nonconformity reports, agreeing corrective actions and verifying their effectiveness, followed by adherence to compliance standards, including reporting to management and supporting certification audits. Role plays and audit case studies give you practical experience throughout. By the end, you will be able to plan and conduct effective ISO 9001:2015 internal audits and contribute to the continual improvement of your quality management system.
