  • Network topologies, architectures and types (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, hybrid, cloud)
  • Cloud concepts and connectivity options (NFV, VPC, hybrid/multi-cloud)
  • Common ports, protocols, and traffic types
  • Transmission media and transceivers (copper, fiber, wireless standards)
  • IPv4 subnetting and IPv6 addressing schemes

Domain 2 Network Implementation (20%)

  • Routing technologies and configurations (static, dynamic, BGP/OSPF concepts)
  • Switching technologies (VLANs, trunking, STP, port security)
  • Wireless devices and configurations (WLAN standards, encryption, deployment)
