Power BI Masterclass teaches you how to turn complex data into compelling, interactive reports and dashboards with Microsoft Power BI, one of the world's most popular business intelligence tools. Power BI connects to a wide range of data sources and lets you clean, model, analyse and share data insights across your organisation. The masterclass is designed for analysts, managers, finance and operations staff, and business users who want to make better data-driven decisions.

You will start by getting started with Power BI, installing Power BI Desktop, connecting to Excel, CSV and database sources, and using Power Query to clean and transform data. Next you will create data visualisations, building bar, line, pie, map, table and matrix visuals and applying formatting and best practices for clear communication. You will then create dashboards and scorecards, combining visuals into interactive report pages and publishing them to the Power BI service for sharing and collaboration.

The course continues with dynamic visualisation, using slicers, filters, drill-down, bookmarks and tooltips to make reports interactive, and data modelling, designing relationships and star schemas that keep reports fast and accurate. The final topic covers data analytics with DAX, writing calculated columns and measures, time intelligence and key performance indicators. Every topic is hands-on with realistic datasets. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to build professional, insightful Power BI reports and dashboards with confidence.

Saeid Alizadeh is a data analytics and visualisation specialist with more than eight years of hands-on experience in data processing, visualisation and analytics, and is a Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. He has trained Malaysian professionals in data analysis and data visualisation with Tertiary Infotech Sdn. Bhd. since 2016 and has been an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer since 2021, specialising in Power BI, Excel data analysis and Tableau. As Chief Technology Officer of Skymics Sdn. Bhd., a Kuala Lumpur MSC Malaysia-status IoT company, he leads solutions in which data from smart energy monitoring, smart plantation, smart building and environmental monitoring systems is collected, cleaned and turned into dashboards and decisions, and he has also worked on social media analytics and smart-city energy management projects. Earlier in his career he served as IT Director at World Wide Science. He is a Certified Citizen Data Scientist Train-the-Trainer and a certified IBM IoT Practitioner and Instructor, is co-inventor of three inventions, and holds an MBA in Information Technology from Multimedia University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Information Technology).

In the Power BI Masterclass, Saeid teaches Power BI the way he uses it with clients: starting from raw data and ending with a report that managers actually use. Learners get started with Power BI Desktop, create data visualisations, build dashboards and scorecards, add dynamic and interactive visuals, design a data model and finish with data analytics using DAX measures. Drawing on his Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification and years of building operational dashboards from IoT and business data, he shares practical tips on data modelling, performance and report design, so learners leave able to build their own Power BI reports with confidence.
