Leadership Masterclass equips aspiring and experienced leaders with the mindset and practical skills to lead people, teams and change effectively. Great leadership is not about title or authority; it is about building trust, communicating clearly, making sound decisions and bringing out the best in others. This masterclass is designed for new and experienced managers, team leaders, supervisors and high-potential professionals who want to strengthen their leadership impact.

You will start with an introduction to effective leadership, exploring leadership styles, self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the difference between managing and leading. Next you will develop communication and collaboration skills, including active listening, giving feedback, running effective meetings and building trust across teams. You will then cover decision making and problem solving, using structured approaches to analyse situations, weigh options and make timely decisions, followed by motivation and performance, setting goals, coaching and recognising good work.

The course continues with conflict resolution and negotiation, handling disagreements constructively and reaching win-win outcomes, and team building, creating a positive culture, developing people and leading through change. Role plays, case studies and self-assessments help you apply each topic to your own situation and create a personal leadership development plan. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to lead with greater confidence, inspire your team and deliver better results for your organisation.

Dr. Alfred Ang is a Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest educational award in Toastmasters International, and has won many public speaking awards. Years of prepared speeches, evaluations, contests and club leadership taught him how to structure a message, read an audience, handle difficult questions and give feedback that people act on, and he coaches these same skills in class. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, and spent more than 20 years in the defence, electronics and semiconductor industries, where he co-invented more than 20 US patents and published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers. Today he is the Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy and founded Tertiary Infotech Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in 2016. As CTO he leads the planning, delivery and continuous release of the course-registration and learning management platform behind the Tertiary Courses websites in Singapore, Malaysia and Ghana, coordinating developers, trainers and operations staff across three countries. He is also a PMP-certified project manager and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, so his soft-skills training stays tied to real workplace results rather than theory.

In this leadership course, Dr. Ang shares lessons from leading engineering teams and running a training organisation across three countries, as well as from club leadership in Toastmasters. Learners cover the foundations of effective leadership, communication and collaboration, decision making and problem solving, motivation and performance, conflict resolution and negotiation, and team building and management. He places strong emphasis on leading through clear communication and constructive feedback, and practical exercises help learners build a leadership style they can apply with their own teams straight away.

Saeid is co-founder of Skymics Sdn Bhd. He has 8 years of experience in the field of IoT (Internet of Things) and Information Technology. He is a certified IBM IoT Practitioner and instructor, and a Certified Citizen Data Scientist Train-The-Trainer. He has been co-inventor of 3 inventions during the last 4 years.
