- Check your levy balance - your company must be registered with HRD Corp and have enough levy balance to cover the course fee.
- Request a quotation - contact us for the quotation, course content and trainer profile; you attach these to the grant application.
- Apply for the grant in eTRiS before the class - log in to your employer eTRiS account, go to Application > Grant > Apply Grant, choose the scheme HRD Corp Claimable Courses (SBL-Khas), select us as the training provider and this course, add your trainees, attach the quotation, course content and trainer profile, and submit.
- Submit in time - for public classes, submit at least 3 calendar days before the class (15 June to 31 December 2026) and at least 14 days before from 1 January 2027; in-house classes need 14 days. The training must start within 90 days of that advance submission period.

Running an online store is familiar ground for Dr. Alfred Ang, because the course-registration platform behind Tertiary Courses is itself an eCommerce system. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect, corporate trainer and CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd in Singapore, building intelligent agents and scalable business solutions end-to-end across front end, back end, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps. That platform, ai-mms, is built on the open-source OpenMage commerce engine and runs the Tertiary Courses sites in Singapore, Malaysia and Ghana, handling catalogue management, checkout, payment gateways, transactional emails and order processing every day. Dr. Ang's tertiarytraining project provides Docker-based WordPress labs in the browser with role-based access, making it easy to give each learner a working site to experiment with. Beyond that, the GitHub portfolio of more than 300 public repositories includes marketplace builds such as a home-dining booking platform and a local tour-guide marketplace, AI-powered content management systems on Next.js and the Claude Agent SDK with SEO, auto-blogging and lead capture built in, and tapcard, a digital business card platform with a CRM and sales pipeline. Supporting tools round this out: logomaker generates brand logos with Gemini and OpenAI image models, and socialmediapost publishes product videos, photos and text to 22 social platforms with one API call. These projects give Dr. Ang a realistic understanding of what makes an online store convert, and of the routine tasks that AI can now handle.
Build a Professional eCommerce Store with Generative AI gives learners a working WordPress and WooCommerce store and shows how AI can shoulder much of the effort of running it. The first topic covers AI-enabled store setup and content management, from choosing a theme and configuring essentials to drafting pages with AI help. In the second topic, AI-assisted product catalogue and web content management, participants generate product descriptions, categories, images and SEO metadata, and learn how to review AI output so it stays accurate and on brand. The third topic deals with payment, delivery options and customer experience optimisation, including checkout flow, payment gateways and AI-assisted customer support. The fourth topic, AI-powered sales, order and promotion management, looks at coupons, bundles, abandoned-cart reminders and order handling. The final topic, eCommerce analytics and performance optimisation, teaches how to read traffic and sales data, speed up pages and use AI to suggest improvements. Dr. Ang draws on real experience running a live commerce platform, sharing what tends to break at checkout, why page speed matters and how small content changes affect conversions. The class is hands-on throughout, so business owners, marketers and aspiring online sellers leave with a functioning store and a clear routine for maintaining it. Learners curious about the commerce, marketplace and content projects mentioned in class can browse Dr. Guidance on choosing plugins, keeping the site secure and backing it up ensures the store remains dependable after launch.
