What's This Course About

Turn raw data into defensible insight in this hands-on Statistics for Data Analysis Masterclass. Statistics is the language of data analysis—the discipline that separates a genuine pattern from random noise. Starting from descriptive statistics and probability theory, including Bayes theorem and the key discrete and continuous distributions, you will learn to summarise and interpret data with confidence. You will then master sampling theory—the central limit theorem, standard errors and confidence intervals—so the conclusions you draw from a sample stand up when applied to the whole population.

The masterclass then moves into the inferential toolkit that powers real-world analysis: hypothesis testing for means and proportions, chi-square goodness of fit testing, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression modeling, plus correlation and covariance for uncovering the relationships between variables. By the end of the course, you will be able to choose the right statistical test for the question at hand, run it, and communicate the result as a clear, data-driven story—a skill set that underpins every serious role in analytics and data science.
