What's This Course About

Excel Power Query and Power Pivot Masterclass equips you with the skills to clean, combine, model and analyse large volumes of data in Microsoft Excel using Power Query and Power Pivot. These powerful built-in tools let you automate data preparation that once took a great deal of manual work, build data models across multiple tables and create insightful reports that refresh with a single click. The masterclass is designed for analysts, finance and operations staff, and experienced Excel users who want to take their data skills further.

You will start by reviewing data with Power Query, connecting to Excel files, CSV files, folders and databases, and using the Power Query editor to clean data, remove errors and duplicates, change data types, split and merge columns, and unpivot and reshape tables. Next you will move on to data analysis with Power Query and Power Pivot, appending and merging queries, loading data into the data model, creating relationships between tables and building PivotTables and PivotCharts from the model.

The final topic covers advanced data analysis using Power Query and Power Pivot, including custom columns, parameters and query folding, writing DAX measures and calculated columns, time intelligence calculations and key performance indicators. Every topic is hands-on with realistic business datasets, so you build reusable, automated reports. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to prepare and analyse complex data efficiently in Excel and deliver reliable, refreshable insights.
