What's This Course About

AI Vibe Coding for SQL equips you with practical skills to design, query and manage relational databases by giving natural-language instructions to AI coding assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and GitHub Copilot. Instead of memorising syntax, you describe the question or structure you need, review the SQL the AI writes and refine it until the results are right, while building a solid understanding of how databases work. The course is designed for analysts, developers, business users and anyone who works with data.

You will start with AI-assisted SQL data modelling and database design, using AI to design tables, choose data types, define keys and relationships and create a database from a business scenario. Next you will cover SQL data processing, querying and analysis, prompting AI to write SELECT statements with filtering, sorting, joins and subqueries, and checking that the results answer your question correctly. You will then move into SQL data aggregation and transformation, using GROUP BY, window functions, common table expressions and functions to summarise and reshape data.

The final topic covers data mapping, warehousing and dashboard development, including designing simple star schemas, preparing data for reporting and connecting SQL queries to dashboards. Throughout the course you will learn how to validate AI-generated SQL, optimise slow queries and avoid mistakes that could change or delete data unintentionally. Every topic is hands-on with real databases. By the end, you will be able to use AI vibe coding to work with SQL quickly, accurately and confidently.
