What's This Course About

Claude Design for UX/UI shows you how to combine your design skills with Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, to plan, create and evaluate user interfaces faster. Claude can turn requirements into wireframes and interactive prototypes, generate component variations, write UX copy, review designs against usability principles and produce clear documentation for developers. The course is designed for UX and UI designers, product managers, front-end developers and anyone who designs digital products and wants to speed up the design process with AI.

You will start with requirements for AI-enhanced UI design, using Claude to analyse user needs, create personas and user flows, and turn requirements into a clear design brief. Next you will work with components and states, generating buttons, forms, navigation, cards and other UI components, and defining their states, variants and responsive behaviour for a consistent design system. You will then design and evaluate AI-driven graphical user interfaces, building interactive prototypes with Claude and refining layout, hierarchy, colour and typography.

The course also covers evaluating your designs for usability and accessibility, including contrast, readability and keyboard navigation, using Claude as a critical reviewer. The final topic focuses on documentation and collaboration, producing design specifications, component guidelines and handoff notes for developers and stakeholders. Every topic is hands-on with a realistic product brief. By the end, you will be able to use Claude confidently to design, test and document high-quality UX/UI work in a fraction of the usual time.

How to Apply HRD Corp Funding

This course is HRD Corp claimable for employers registered with HRD Corp, under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses scheme (SBL-Khas). Your company applies for the grant before the class; we submit the training provider claim after it.

  1. Check your levy balance - your company must be registered with HRD Corp and have enough levy balance to cover the course fee.
  2. Request a quotation - contact us for the quotation, course content and trainer profile; you attach these to the grant application.
  3. Apply for the grant in eTRiS before the class - log in to your employer eTRiS account, go to Application > Grant > Apply Grant, choose the scheme HRD Corp Claimable Courses (SBL-Khas), select us as the training provider and this course, add your trainees, attach the quotation, course content and trainer profile, and submit.
  4. Submit in time - for public classes, submit at least 3 calendar days before the class (15 June to 31 December 2026) and at least 14 days before from 1 January 2027; in-house classes need 14 days. The training must start within 90 days of that advance submission period.
  5. Send us the grant approval - once HRD Corp approves the application, email us the grant ID so we can confirm your seats.
  6. Attend the class - trainees sign the daily attendance (T3) form.
  7. Claim after the class - we submit the training provider claim in eTRiS with the attendance and invoice; you then complete the employer claim and sign the JD/14 form (manager level or above). Claims must be submitted within 6 months of the training.

Design and code meet in nearly every product Dr. Alfred Ang ships. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer, and serves as Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the Singapore training organisation behind Tertiary Courses. Dr. Ang's portfolio includes many native iOS and Android apps designed with SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose and published on the App Store and Google Play, from an AI planner and a document scanner to a sketching studio for iPhone and iPad and a children's learning app, each requiring careful attention to layout, states and accessibility. On the web, Dr. Ang built a Padlet-style collaborative canvas with sticky notes and live sync, a minimal whiteboard with vector shapes, flowchart elements and snapping connectors, and an accessible IT service desk interface with a validated form and searchable FAQ. Many of these projects began life as Claude-assisted prototypes, and Dr. Ang has also published Claude Code skills that include mobile responsiveness testing. With more than 300 public repositories on GitHub spanning front end, back end, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps, Dr. Ang understands how a requirement becomes a component, how component states multiply, and how AI can accelerate design work without losing usability. Dr. Ang also designs admin dashboards and data-heavy screens for internal platforms, where clear information hierarchy and consistent components matter as much as visual polish.

Claude Design for UX/UI brings that practice into a structured design workflow. In the first topic, learners use Claude to turn business needs into clear requirements for AI-enhanced user interfaces, including user goals, tasks, constraints and accessibility needs. The second topic focuses on components and states, where participants define buttons, forms, cards and navigation elements and use Claude to enumerate default, hover, error, loading and empty states that are often forgotten. The third topic covers designing and evaluating AI-driven graphical user interfaces, from generating wireframes and interactive prototypes to running heuristic reviews and accessibility checks with Claude's help. The final topic addresses documentation and collaboration, showing how to produce design specifications and hand-off notes that developers can implement accurately. Dr. Ang demonstrates each step live, drawing on lessons from shipping apps where a missed state or unclear specification created rework later. The teaching style is collaborative and practical: learners iterate on their own design brief, compare Claude's suggestions against established usability principles and keep final judgement firmly with the designer. Designers, product owners and developers who shape interfaces will all benefit. Participants leave with a documented design, a reusable prompting approach and a faster path from idea to prototype. Accessibility receives particular attention, with practical checks for colour contrast, keyboard navigation and screen-reader labels that Dr. Ang applies when preparing apps for app store review and public release.
