AI-103 Microsoft Certified Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate prepares developers to design, build and deploy AI applications and agents on Microsoft Azure and to pursue the AI-103 certification. The course focuses on building generative AI solutions with Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI services, from retrieval-augmented chat applications to agents that use tools and act on data. It is designed for software developers, AI engineers and technical professionals with programming experience who build AI-powered solutions on Azure.

You will start with an introduction to Microsoft Azure AI applications, exploring Microsoft Foundry, model selection and deployment, the Azure OpenAI service, Azure AI Search and the wider set of Azure AI services for language, speech, vision and document intelligence. Next you will evaluate Azure AI applications, learning how to measure quality, groundedness and safety, apply content filters and responsible AI practices, and monitor cost and performance.

The final topic covers developing Azure AI solutions, building retrieval-augmented generation applications grounded in your own data, creating agents with tools and knowledge using the Foundry Agent Service, integrating AI capabilities into applications through SDKs and APIs, and securing and deploying your solutions. Each topic combines explanation with hands-on labs and exam-style practice. By the end, you will be able to build, evaluate and deploy AI apps and agents on Azure confidently and be prepared for the AI-103 exam.
