How to submit grant applications for HRD Corp Claimable Courses
2- Employers are required to apply for the grant at least one week before training commences.
Employers must submit their applications with supporting documents, including invoices/quotations, trainer profiles, training schedule and course content.
3- First, Login to Employer’s e-TRIS account -https://etris.hrdcorp.gov.my
Second, Click Application
4- Click Grant on the left side under Applications
5- Click Apply Grant on the left side under Applications
6- Click Apply
7- Choose a Scheme Code and select HRD Corp Claimable Courses: Skim Bantuan Latihan Khas. Then, click Apply
8- Scheme Code represents all types of training that suit the requirements provided by HRD Corp. Below are the list of schemes offered by HRD Corp:
9- Select your Immediate Officer and click Next
10- Select a Training Provider, then click Next
11- Please select a training programme from the list, then key in all the required details and click Next
Select your desired training programme.
Give an explanation on why the participant is required to attend the training. E.g., related to their tasks/ career development, etc.
Explain the background and objective of this training.
Select a relevant focus area. For Employer-Specific Courses, select ‘Not Applicable’.
12- If the training programme is a micro-credential programme, you are required to complete these 3 fields. Save and click Next

13- Based on the nine (9) pillars listed below, HRD Corp Focus Area Courses are closely tied to support government initiatives towards nation building. As such, courses offered through the HRD Corp Focus Areas are designed to provide the workforce with skills required for current and future demands. Details of the focus areas are as follows:
14- Please select a Course Title and Type of Training
15- Select the correct type of training according to the actual type of training, or as mentioned in the training brochure:
16- Please key in the Training Location and click Next
17- Please select the Level of Certification and click Next
18- Please follow the instructions and key in trainee details
19- Click Add Batch, then click Save
20- Click Add Trainee Details
21- Please key in all the required details, then click Add
22- Click Add if there are more participants. Once done, click Save
23- Click Next
24- Please key in the course fees and allowance details, then click Save
25- Estimated cost includes the course fees/external trainer fees, allowances, and consumable training materials. Please comply with the HRD Corp Allowable Cost Matrix.
26- Select Upfront Payment to Training Provider and key in the percentage from 0% to 30%. Then, click Save and Next
27- Complete the declaration form and select a desired officer
28- Add all the required documents, then click Add Attachment. Then, click Save and Submit Application
29- Once the New Grant Application is successfully submitted, the Grant Officer will evaluate the application accordingly. The application may be queried if additional information is required.
The application status will be updated via the employer’s dashboard, email, and the e-TRiS inbox.

Trainers
Truman Ng: Truman Ng graduated with Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from NUS in year 2002. He designed Artificial Intelligence (AI) controller for DC-DC Power Convertor by using Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network (NN) as his university Final Year Project.
Truman has over 15 years project experiences across Database & Web Design, PLC machinery, Data Center Design , Structure Cabling System(SCS) and Enterprise Network Design and Implementation. He used to be a network architect for Hewlett Packard, working with a group of virtual team from the US in handling network design and projects in the States.
Truman is the founder of Nexplore (S) Pte Ltd. He provides solutions of Cloud SaaS, IaaS & PaaS and Software Defined Network (SDN), VoIP and Internet Security. He was engaged by Huawei Global Training Center to provide 60+ consultations and trainings for Internet Service Providers(ISP) from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philipines, Australia, Poland, Iran, South Africa, Swaziland, Cote Dlvoire, Syria, Uzbekistan, New Zealand and countries over the world.
As achievement, Truman has successfully completed 100+ IT network projects for Bank, Hotel and Factory within 5 years.
Truman is certified in PMP, Cisco CCNP, CCIP, CCDP, HP Ase and Huawei HCNP, HCIE R&S, HCNA Cloud, HCNA Security, etc.
Ganesh Venkataramanan (GV): Ganesh Venkataramanan (GV) works as a DevOps Engineer at a global bank. He has extensive experience in various technologies like Red Hat Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, ElasticSearch and other DevOps related tools. In his current role, he is responsible for moving traditional applications running on physical servers to the containers using Dockers and Kubernetes. GV has also worked as a service delivery manager for more than 10 years managing a team of 20 people globally providing first class customer support to clients.
Alaudeen: Alaudeen has over 20 years of industrial experience in IT system development, service management, handling large scale mission critical projects especially for financial institutions, manufacturing & logistics. When he was a senior manager with major banks, he oversaw the project management from “end to end” implementation, he has solid experience in handling large teams worldwide and has proven experience in MSSQL, Oracle, DB2 databases, Agile methodology projects, ITIL, System management and programming skills such as .NET, 4GL, Power builder & DevOps.
Alaudeen specializes in designing and developing Web and Client/Sever applications and has vast experience in system development and migration. His main technical skill set includes development language/tools like .Net, 4GL and the platforms diverged from UNIX, Linux & Windows servers. In addition, he has very strong knowledge on almost all database engines, for instance, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase and Oracle.
Mahaveer Uttamchand: Mahaveer Uttamchand current works as a researcher, He graduated from NTU in 2015. He did jhis Master's in Communications Engineering. He had been working on various projects whose applications involve Arduino, C,C++ , Python
Shu Wei: Shu Wei has 14 years experience working in the semiconductor industry holding different roles in IC Design, layout verification and mask data preparation. He has a keen interest in scripting and has extensive knowledge in PERL, PHP, MySQL among others. Aptly applied to his area of work, he had simplified many work methodologies leading to much productivity and quality improvements for his various undertakings.
Shu Wei holds a Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) from National University of Singapore. He is also a PMP certified project manager and a Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner.
Dr. Sarita Singh: Dr. Sarita Singh received her Ph.D. degree for her work done in the area of Information Security. She is the recipient of the prestigious Infosys fellowship for pursuing her Ph.D. Programme. She has more than twenty-five years of teaching and research experience in Singapore, Malaysia and India in the field of Programming, Information Security, Web-application Development, Computer Networks and Engineering related modules.
She has presented papers at several National and International Conferences and has written articles for magazines. She has authored text-books for Engineering courses as well.
Siva Kumar: Siva Kumar is an experienced Solutions Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Skilled in J2EE Web Services, Oracle Database, Maven, C++, and Apache Kafka. He is a strong engineering professional with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) focused in Computer Science from JNTU University Hyderabad.
An electronic engineer in background with 2 years of software development experience in R&D and 3 years as a software development trainer. OO Technology suite: C, C++ with Linux and Unix OS including Device Drivers. Scripting: Pearl, Shell and Python. For a brief period I was a corporate trainer on Unix & Linux Internals. Currently She is focusing on coaching and training of technologists from various organisations. I believe in collective learning and knowledge sharing. My sole objective is to coach and train people to become effective problem solvers.
